I won't use this opportunity to ride for the team I want to win The Playoffs. That's irrelevant. (Cough...Go Cavs.) And the bottom line is that Kobe Bryant is an exceptional basketball player.
But even his status as arguably the best player in the league doesn't excuse these photos. The L.A. Times has released what looks like a painful attempt at modeling on Kobe's part. The shoot just looks uncomfortable and awkward.
And that's before we even get to that bowtie, top hat and headband. Is he at a wedding, a baptism or on a basketball court? I'm confused.
