The late Alexander McQueen personally chose his Pre-Fall 2010 gown for Cate Blanchett to wear to the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
Cate paired it with diamond earrings and bracelets from Van Cleef & Arpels and donned it to the premiere for Robin Hood (umm, can't wait to see that! I love Robin Hood movies...like Men in Tights...but I digress).
Sure, it's a beautiful, dramatic gown but the black color and eagle motif are eerie given the dark period McQueen was in before his death. Speaking of which, the eagle print is a bit too casual (doesn't it usually show up on motorcycle jackets) for a red carpet gown, in my opinion.
Still, it's unexpected and Cate brings an air of grace to the look. What do we think, Glamazons? Glam or a Sham?
